Paolo Coriani "1907 Enrique Garcia"
|Back & Sides:
AVAILABILITY: On Hold
This guitar by Italian luthier Paolo Coriani
is a near-exact "bench copy" of a 1907 Enrique Garcia
that Paolo had for a time in his workshop and was able to study in every minutia of detail. Enrique Garcia is of course one of the great historical builders who has had a very large influence on Coriani's work over the course of his career. Materials are top-quality, and well-aged with a beautiful set of flamed maple for the back and sides, and the fit and finish of the guitar are extremely well done - the French polish has an almost mirror-like quality to it. The resulting sound is plump, round and very full with clean separation between voices. It has a romantic, lyrical quality to it with a deep bottom-end, much like the original instruments from Enrique Garcia. Playability is easy with a lovely, smooth neck. It also has plenty of power and projection, enough for any concert situation. A very fine concert instrument by any standard, this guitar will work beautifully in front of both microphone and audience of any sized venue.
