Description

One of Paco de Lucia's favored makers in the 1970s, this guitar shows why he and many other Spanish pros have played these instruments. Built during the peak of Montero's career, this is number 706 of his obra. Great volume, excellent balance, a traditional 70s flamenco tone, it's easy to play and produces loud barking picados and rasgueados. The wood choice is exceptional, especially the very fine grained top. And the build quality echoes that other great Cordoba flamenco builder, Manuel Reyes. The tuning machine slots in the headstock are beautifully rounded. The end of the fretboard is finished like few makers do. The rosette mirrors the Moorish architecture of his city. A great value in a professional instrument, in excellent condition, with many decades of music yet to make.
