Background

The classical and flamenco guitars of Miguel Rodriguez have been the favorite pick of many leading concert artists, most notably all members of the Romero family. In actuality, when speaking of Miguel Rodriguez, one is really making reference to a family of four guitar builders spanning three generations.

Description

This guitar is a monster of a flamenco from Miguel Rodriguez Jr., arguably one of the finest luthiers of the twentieth century. It has all the qualities of traditional gypsy flamenco guitars, including wooden tuning pegs and a sound that resonates off the top, back and sides. It has a loose, loud and penetrating sound with big basses and crystal clear trebles. Condition is excellent with one small repaired crack on the back and another on the side. Additionally there is some minor over-finishing in shellac (mainly on the back) to cover up expected playing wear on such a played guitar as this. This is a superb example of a great Andalucian flamenco by one of history's greatest builders.
