Here’s more of Teodoro Perez talking about the importance of wood. I love talking to Teodoro because of his connection with the past at Ramirez and his connection with the future – his kids are in the shop working side by side with him. And he just never stops working for a moment, so he’s binding a guitar while talking to me here. One of the interesting things is that while you’d think that wood used to be abundant and it’s only now that some woods are becoming scarce, there was a time when good woods were difficult to find in Spain.
