This flamenco guitar was made by the young guitar-maker Jerónimo Pérez de Algodonales, in Cadiz, Spain. This make is quickly becoming popular with the flamenco professionals in Spain including such names as Antonio Rey, Paco Cepero, Diego del Morao, and many others. The instrument was originally custom-ordered, and the original owner supplied some of the materials including the very choice CSA rosewood for the headstock veneer and the bridge, the set of perfectly quartersawn Pau Ferro used for the back and sides as well as the Rubner tuners, which are excellent quality and work very well. The previous owner also selected the cedar top from Jerónimo's stock. Perez normally carves the headstock but this one has a flat relief on both sides, again a customized detail. Lastly, a tasteful and understated rosette was chosen to complement the colors of the top, back and sides. Being a cedar negra, it is quite powerful with a rich, and thick (but very quick) style of sound. This is a fun, easy and versatile guitar to play with plenty of sound to fill any professional concert environment. Although second-hand the condition of guitar is virtually like-new.
