Description

For this guitar, California luthier David Schramm (who is also a player) has built a replica of the famous 1951 Marcelo Barbero that was owned and played by Sabicas, and with which Sabicas recorded his seminal album "Flamenco Puro". David has done a fantastic job capturing the weight, playability, feel and even to a degree - the sound of this archetypal flamenco guitar. It has a featherlight build, bullet-like, immediate response and most importantly, a raspy, dark, played-in, old-world style of sound. Although this is a second-hand guitar, it is in excellent condition with only some modest wear in the finish. Excellent value for the price, a well-researched and executed guitar overall.
