Description

Born in 1931 in Maron de la Frontera - arguably the heartland of traditional flamenco, Jose Alberto Pantoja Martin learned guitar making in Sevilla in the early 1960's - largely self-taught, and set up his own shop as an independent builder in 1967. This is a maker who seems to have favored maple for the backs and sides of a good deal of his flamencos and this guitar is made with precisely this material. It features traditional wooden pegs and has an authentic gypsy flavor to the sound. Condition is excellent with only some very minor playing wear in the finish.
