Ron Bushman had a long career as a mechanical engineer and built flamenco guitars in his spare time. They were known for the precise build quality you'd expect from an engineer and for their authentic Spanish voice. When Ron retired, he increased his guitar making, and his last 15 or so guitars, built on the Reyes plan, were his best yet. He has now retired from guitar building as well, and to our knowledge, this is among the last that he built.
While its volume and responsiveness first get your attention, the tonal complexity, perfect balance and extreme ease of play are the real standouts here. This guitar if nearly effortless for the left hand. Cosmetics are top notch too, with a very refined aesthetic, traditional wooden tuning pegs, and in pristine condition. The entire instrument is finished thinly in lacquer for durability and best sonics. A real winner, and one of the best values in our inventory.
