Description

Jakob Lebisch is based out of Offenbach, Germany - near Frankfurt, and is regarded as one of the best younger up-and-coming builders of 'double-top' guitars. For this particular instrument, he has two pieces of spruce for the inner and outer layers, with a balsa wood structure in between with some structural, almost brace-like elements internally as well. The underside itself is quite traditional - seven fan struts and a Bouchet-style brace under the bridge. The guitar is exceptionally lightweight - 2.75 lbs to be precise, and so it is very lively. One of the more powerful double-tops we've ever seen, on par and exceeding other makers of much higher stature and reputation! Condition is almost mint. Barely any signs of use.
