Description

This is a beautiful instrument based on the proportions and aesthetics of Antonio de Torres. Materials are very high quality and a pleasure to look at, including a perfectly quarter-sawn spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides. The shellac finish is applied with a level of attention to detail and perfection found in very few makers. The sound is extremely responsive and open, with plenty of volume and character. The trebles are very clear and easy to work with, and the basses are steady and full. Being his "Torres" model, it has a slightly more compact body size but yet retains a full, big-bodied sound. Playability is a dream with very low action. It is also fitted with a 20th fret for repertoire requiring a high c natural. Overall, a beautiful-sounding concert guitar for a great price.
