This is an extremely well-made traditional classical guitar from the Yukio Chai workshop in Japan. This guitar demonstrates how well the Spanish style of building had been disseminated worldwide by 1976, as this guitar attests. It has great power, lightweight build, fast attack and a great richness of overtone content to every note - indeed the sound and playability of this guitar are quite atypical to this era when long-scale, cedar-top guitars were the norm. Condition is excellent as well with no damage or repairs. Thoroughly enjoyable to play, this is a fantastic concert-level instrument for the player on a budget. This guitar was used by Fareed Haque on a recent album with singer AnDrea James called "Spanish Songs With Guitar" - you can hear Fareed playing this guitar on the promotional video below.
