Coming Soon - John Ray 'Torres'

Granada builder John Ray just sent us a couple of photos of a new maple Torres he’s finishing for us  – a model we’ve had before and that the guys agree is a very successful Torres reproduction. It’s based on SE 153 (The ‘SE’ is for Second Epoch) which was built in 1892, the last year of Torres’ life, and which John had a chance to really inspect. Check out this page to see some photos not only of the last one we had in, but also of the original Torres from when John had it, as well as a video of me and John talking about Torres copies and working backwards from a guitar ti understand the luthier’s original intent (don’t worry – John does most of the talking).
