GFA Convention 2012 in Charleston, SC

This year’s GFA convention and competition is right around the corner. It will be held June 26 to July 1st in Charleston, S. C., hosted by the College of Charleston Department of Music, and held at the Marion and Wayland H. Cato Jr. Center for the Arts on the College of Charleston campus, and in the heart of the city. Juan Carlos Laguna, the Assad brothers, Roland Dyens, Vladimir Gorbach (last year’s competition winner), Dale Kavanagh and our good friend Connie Sheu will be among the many performers, and there will be workshops, lectures and masterclasses by these and more, including Christopher Parkening.

Also, all convention registrants can sign up to rehearse and perform with the Convention Guitar Orchestra, which is led by Julian Grey. And of course there will be a vendor expo and luthier showcase.
