Valseana Review

Our CD Valseana, in which guitarist Marc Teicholz plays 18 waltzes on 18 amazing historic guitars, got a really nice review from the French magazine Guitare Clasique:

The American guitarist Marc Teicholz performs an eclectic repertoire that is unified by the musical form of each piece: the waltz – including transcriptions of Brahms, Chopin and Nougaro, as well as a few familiar guitar classics (Llobet, Ponce, Villa-Lobos). The quality of the sound recording itself is sensitive and captures the voice of each of eighteen different guitars with precision and subtlety – from Torres to Friederich, Bouchet to Hauser; and lends itself well to the ‘game’ of comparison listening.”
