Concert (and Raffle) For a Cause

On Sept 24 we’re helping to throw a fantastic concert for a friend and it’s going to be a great night. The short version is that Tavi Jinariu, Julius Reder Carlson, Capital, My trio and I (Kai Narezo with Ric Fierabracci on bass and Joey Heredia on drums) and Ben Woods will be performing at El Cid in Los Angeles, and the same $10 that gets you in the door gets you in on a raffle with prizes that include a Guitar Salon FC-100 flamenco, a Cordoba GK Studio and a Candy Apple Red Fender telecaster. What’s more – you can have a beer (or whatever your drink may be) while hearing some amazing guitar (not something that happens too often in classical world…)

The back story is that our good friend Tara Stewart, who has helped GSI a lot with our videos, recently went deeply into debt when her beloved beagle, Jackson (who was a rescue with quite a back story of his own), became very sick. Sadly, Jackson did not survive the surgeries, and Tara wound up owing about $8,000 in vet bills. We decided to help out the best way we know how, and the folks at El Cid, along with our friends at Cordoba and Fender also decided to chip in by donating guitars. So we thought the best thing we could do would be to throw a great concert, and some fantastic friends agreed to help out.

So whether you want to finally see some of the players from our GSI videos perform live, you want a chance to win a guitar, or you want to help Tara get out of debt, we really hope you’ll join us for a very unique event.
