"Orfeo Magazine" No. 22 - Pioneers of Double Tops and The New Generation of German Luthiers
Alberto Martinez's "Orfeo Magazine" is back with issue no. 22. This time, the Orfeo Magazine focuses on German makers and puts in the spotlight the representatives of three different trends that have emerged on the German guitar-building scene.
First, you'll have a chance to learn about the origins of the double-top school started by two pioneers in the 1990s - Gernot Wagner and Matthias Dammann. In this issue, you'll also have a chance to read about the modern followers of that school, (like Dennis Tolz), who keep refining and developing the trend started by Dammann and Wagner.
The newest issue of Orfeo also takes a closer look at modern German luthiers who represent the Spanish tradition of guitar making, like Stefan Nitschke and Lisa Weinzierl, as well as those makers who seek all-wood solutions, like Friederike Linscheid and Adrian Heinzelmann.
