For legendary flamenco guitarist Cañizares to put his name on a line of flamenco guitars, he had to find an extraordinary luthier (or, as it turned out, two) to design and build the guitars to his exacting specifications. Vicente Carrillo turned out to be the perfect match for Cañizares’ vision. The fusion between these two artists, each bringing his personal experience, make it possible to offer this new line of signature model guitars, backed by the professionalism and caliber of a guitarist like Cañizares. They are made according to the strict specifications of Juan Manuel Cañizares which assures an unparalleled level of quality, assuring the satisfaction of any guitarist, amateur or professional.
This model, the "Estudio-1", is the entry-level instrument in the Cañizares line. It has a remarkable flamenco punch and added durability of a lacquer finish. Materials and construction are top-notch. Like the higher-end concert models, the "Estudio" guitars are completely handcrafted in the Carrillo workshop. These have all the traits that are associated with a true flamenco guitar, including low action and a lightweight feel, tremendous guitars for the money.
