George Sakellariou - Part 3

We have a couple more videos from George Sakellariou – The score above is a photo his own handwritten score from 1961 that he copied from his teacher. I kept asking him for the name of the etude he plays here on this beautiful 1973 ‘Churchdoor’ Rodriguez, and he kept telling me it was a Tarrega arrangement of a Mendelssohn piece and that that was all he knew, so he sent me this photo of his score and I was taken by the beauty of this handwritten score.

The other two pieces are Sainz de la Maza’s ‘Petenera’ played on a 2004 cedar and maple Pepe Romero Jr. and Angel Barrios’ ‘Tonadilla’ played on a cedar-top Cordoba C10.
