Happy Trails, Everyone!

News

bear-waving

In late 2004, a wide-eyed, 23-year-old me made the transition from being a fan and customer of GSI into a full-time employee. Now, ten years later to the day, I’m making that same transition in reverse. At the end of this week, I’ll be moving on from GSI. I’m not exactly sure what the future holds for me, but I know it’s time to explore a new path.

I wanted to make this post because I’ve met too many amazing people over the past decade to say goodbye to everyone individually. Just know that if you ever interacted with me at any level, I remember you and it was a pleasure working with you. I hope we run into each other again somewhere along the way.

Over the years, I’ve watched GSI grow and evolve into the behemoth it is today. Each year has been busier, more exciting and stronger than the last; we brushed off an economic recession together, we’ve started a concert series and a record label, we’ve shared the sounds of our guitars millions of times and we’ve created a global community of informed guitar lovers that’s unlike anything else. This didn’t happen by chance – an absurd amount of blood, sweat and tears goes into helping GSI reach new heights each day. It was an honor to be involved.

The icing on the cake? I have full confidence that the best years of the company are just beginning. I can’t wait to watch it unfold from the sidelines.

So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone at GSI and everyone in the GSI community around the world. Keep on pluckin’.
