Description

Antonio de Torres, the "father of the modern guitar" was the first to establish most design principles which set the standard for virtually every guitar maker following him. Kenny Hill based this guitar on a first-epoch Torres built in Sevilla in 1864. Being smaller bodied, it has the classic Torres fan bracing system but with 5 fans instead of 7, and a beautiful and more compact body shape in all dimensions including string length. It has an elegant rosette with checkerboard mosaic flanked on either side by green herringbone - matched also for the soundboard purflings. Other notable details are the beautiful flamed maple head veneer and MOP inlays in the bridge. The sound is strong, with singing highs, and solid basses. Ideal for players seeking a smaller instrument, but with a full concert sound.

Includes a custom-sized hardshell case.
