7th Annual Pacific Guitar Festival

The 7th annual Pacific Guitar Festival takes place this weekend in Monrovia, CA (just East of Los Angeles) and GSI is proud to be a sponsor this year. We’re also very happy to announce that we will be shooting videos of the winners shortly after the competition.

The Pacific Guitar Festival is a one-day competition that celebrates young guitarists, and the prize package includes several professional concerts, including one at the festival itself. Both the preliminary and final rounds are open to the public, so if you want to see some great young guitarists this is the perfect chance to do so. You can see the schedule here. Past judges have included Scott Tennant, Brian Head, David Grimes and a host of heavy-hitters from the area, and Mak Grgic (check him out playing the Chaconne on an amazing 1950 Fleta here) was one of the recent competition winners.
