The 2019 Parkening International Guitar Competition

The 2019 Parkening International Guitar Competition will be held from May 30th to June 1st at Pepperdine University, with the Young Guitarist Competition taking place from May 28-29. As one of the more prestigious guitar competitions in the world, the Parkening Guitar Competition offers the largest purse of any guitar competition in the world totaling in excess of $65,000. This year’s fifteen competitors range in age from 16 to 29, and are from all over the world; you’ll likely recognize this roster since many of the players are regulars in our showroom! The panel of judges includes Mia Bongiovanni, Charlotte Lee, Steve Schoen, David Thomas and 2016 Competition winner Pablo Sáinz Villegas.
