Description

Manuel Reyes of Cordoba is considered to be one of the greatest and most sought after makers in the world. He is known for his superb workmanship and authentic Andalusian flamenco sound. This guitar is easy to play and has all the richness necessary for solo performing. The tone of his instruments has always been described as sweet, beautiful and lyrical while retaining the bite and energy of flamenco. His guitars have been played by dozens of flamenco professionals internationally, perhaps most notably being Vicente Amigo. His waitlist for new instruments is now closed due to its enormous size.

This blanca from 1983 is a dream - it is in near-mint condition, with no cracks or repairs of any kind. It is feather light, and has the classic Reyes tone: loud, beautiful and lyrical, with sparkly trebles and rich basses. When playing melodically, it sings like a human voice, but also awakens with a tremendous bite when pushed hard. As sweet as the tone is, rasgueados still erupt from this guitar as though shot from a machine gun. This guitar is a true masterpiece, and could easily please the most discriminating player or collector.
