Description

Based in Los Angeles, Michael Peters has an eclectic guitar background - from being a semi-professional player, to making custom electric guitars, he has now for many years settled as an artisan-level luthier of classical guitars, which means he builds and finishes the entire instrument himself, including making all his rosettes, purflings, and other decorative elements which are tailored individually for each guitar. As an experienced player, Michael is sensitive to making guitars that are as comfortable and easy to play as possible, and contours his necks to make left hand transitions from one position to the next feel seamless. Although traditional in build, Michael does incorporate small personal modifications by carefully crafting the guitars to very fine tolerances in thicknesses, weights, and how the components are fit together. He also believes that the careful design and adjustment of the bracing layout plays a crucial role in optimizing the efficiency of how the soundboard vibrates. In the case of this particular guitar, the resulting sound has deep, rich basses and lyrical, singing trebles. For a full-sized, modern concert instrument, it has a relatively lightweight build that makes it agile in responsiveness, provides a large tonal palette and plenty of volume for any concert setting. The guitar is in great shape with no damage or repairs, only some minor wear and hazing in the finish.
