2014 Kenny Hill "Rodriguez" CD/CSAR

This guitar is built in the style of Miguel Rodriguez from the 1970s-1980s, and for the price, is one of the best "copies" we've seen. Even the bracing pattern internally follows the famous 5-fan system from this era of Rodriguez, so very authentic not just aesthetically but also structurally. The beautiful "rose rosette" is iconic for this maker and replicated beautifully here. Materials used are absolutely stunning including a high-grade set of CSA rosewood for the back and sides with dramatic, and gorgeously textured grain patterns. Soundwise, the guitar has great clarity and precision of tone. The trebles are big and meaty but not heavy or lumbering, and the basses are driving and fat but not boomy. The guitar also boasts a very loud tone, which is again, a quality to be found in the original Rodriguez guitars. Fitted with Sloane tuners, and French polished. Has adjustable truss rod for quick and easy setup. Although a previously owned instrument, the guitar is in excellent condition with only minor wear in the finish. Exceptional value for the price.
