This guitar was built in the Hill Guitar workshop. It is a Performance model incorporating many of the specs found in the Signature series guitars. It is constructed in the traditional Spanish style, with the integral body and neck joint, but incorporates a modern soundboard, with a double-top (with spruce on the exterior and cedar for the interior) and innovative lattice/fan bracing. It also features dual soundports on the upper bout (side). Some of the custom features are traditional (not raised) fingerboard, French polished Carpathian spruce top (covered in bear claw), exotic woods for back and sides - in this case a beautiful set of Makassar ebony and upgraded Gotoh tuners. This guitar is powerful, allowing for a wide range of color and an extremely expressive dynamic range. The lattice bracing also gives this guitar a very quick response with a strong punch. Features 20th fret for high c natural. The guitar is in like-new condition overall but has a small (now invisible after GV Rubio did touch up) hairline crack in the back that appears to have been repaired during construction. All in all, an extremely good concert guitar at a great price.
