Description

This is the "Hauser" model, based on the iconic instrument built in 1937 by Hermann Hauser Sr, famously played by Andres Segovia for decades and now housed in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. This 1937 Hauser is one of the most admired guitars by luthiers, players and audiences in history, and this reproduction by Cordoba is done faithfully according to drawings that Kenny Hill has studied extensively and integrated into its design and production. The remarkable qualities of the sound are its perfect balance, crystal-like clarity between voices, bell-like trebles and sturdy basses. The guitar is very easy to play with a very comfortable neck shape and easy (but buzz resistant) action. This "Limited Edition" version uses gorgeous African rosewood back and sides and is finished in French polished shellac. Overall a great guitar in and of itself and a successful tribute to one of the great classics of history.
