Description

This 1995 is an absolutely stunning example of Sahlin's finest work from this period. Rich, clean and incredibly powerful, the tone projects with great separation and color. It is lightly but solidly built giving it a lively character. As is evident in the aesthetic details, Sahlin's craftsmanship is second to none, and features beautiful inlay work, perfectly executed. Condition is excellent with no cracks or repairs, only some wear in the finish including a spot in the lower bout where a strap from its previous case left a mark in the finish, but this is aesthetic only. The top is French polished but back and sides are lacquered - a finish combination that Eric still likes to do to this day for his cedar-topped instruments. This guitar also features Sahlin's famous slight "twist" to the neck profile, which eases the stress on the left hand wrist in the lower positions, allowing the player to keep a straighter, less "bent" wrist position even when barring. One of the most ergonomically well thought-out designs we've seen. Overall, a solid concert instrument in every regard.
