Description

This is a fantastic example of a high-grade, concert-level guitar that was made for several years in the late 1990's/early 2000's under private label in the Vicente Carrillo workshop in Casasimarro, Spain. The name "Domingo Ortega" is curious - and may be a reference to a famous bullfighter (1906-1988) with the same name. The instrument itself features top materials throughout, including beautiful CSA rosewood for the back and sides. It is finished with shellac using the traditional French polish method. Playability is very smooth with a very comfortable neck and easy action. It has a strong, steady and warm sound, very balanced across all registers and perfectly suitable for any professional performance situation. Fantastic value at the price point, when compared to other more expensive guitars of similar quality.
