Description

In the 1960s and early 1970s, España guitars were distributed in the United States by Buegeleisen & Jacobson in New York. This vintage classical guitar is an example of this guitar line. Until 1967 España guitars were made in Sweden by Bjärton, then the production was moved to Landola company located in Finland. The serial number of this guitar suggests that the guitar was built in 1963. Hugh Downes, the famous American broadcaster and amateur classical guitarist used to endorse España guitars.

It's a lovely vintage student/entry-level classical guitar in excellent condition for its age, with no cracks or repairs - only some modest wear and some checking in the finish. It is fitted with an endpin so can be played with a strap. Includes TKL hardshell case. It was donated to our non-profit charitable organization, the GSI Foundation. Guitar sales through the GSI Foundation raise money to directly benefit music education in public schools. Feel free to contact us for more information.
