Description

For over half a century, the name of Jose Ramirez is perhaps the most recognized to classical and flamenco guitar aficionados. Ramirez instruments have been performed on by countless professionals from Sting to Segovia, Chet Atkins to Sabicas and Lee Ritenour to Christopher Parkening.

The NE line is the new and improved "E" line, which was designed by Jose Ramirez III in 1986. Amalia Ramirez created the NE line in 2008 by updating the pattern on the "E" line's rosettes, purflings and tie blocks. When it comes to the basic construction of these guitars, Amalia stayed true to her father's original designs. These guitars are slightly lighter in weight, but the NE guitars still sing with the same beautiful, rich tones that are characteristic of Jose Ramirez guitars. The 4NE is the top-of-the-line Ramirez model in the "NE" series. It is made entirely by hand with all-solid materials, with Western cedar top and Indian rosewood back and sides. It retains some of the look , feel and sound of its concert guitar counterparts. Featuring a rich, robust tone, with excellent volume and clarity, it will project well in a medium-sized hall, making it a great choice for the intermediate to advanced student. The detailing is the most refined of all the student instruments, including the fine work in the hand-inlaid purfling.
