This guitar is a collaboration with the "Hijos de Ricardo Sanchis" workshop and the great contemporary flamenco player Antonio Rey* who provided the design specifications to satisfy the needs of a concert artist seeking maximal comfort in the delicate matter of determining tensions and measurements for optimal playability. And at that same time that will also yield a sweet, warm, aggressive flamenco sound. This guitar is a 1a concert-level flamenco negra model with well selected woods and clean craftsmanship. It has plenty of volume for any concert setting, with colorful tonal palette and excellent balance. Overall, a beautiful instrument that is easy to play from a well-respected workshop dating back to over 100 years ago.
*Antonio Rey Navas is a Spanish flamenco guitarist and composer. He is the winner of several national and international flamenco guitar competitions such as the Córdoba National Flamenco Art Competition, the Niño Ricardo National Flamenco Guitar Competition and the Los Cernícalos de Jerez International Flamenco Guitar Competition. In 2020 he was the winner of the 'Best Flamenco Album' category at the 21 Latin Grammy Awards for his album "Flamenco Sin Fronteras".
