Description

For over half a century, the name of Jose Ramirez is perhaps the most recognized to classical and flamenco guitar aficionados. Ramirez instruments have been performed on by countless professionals from Sting to Segovia, Chet Atkins to Sabicas and Lee Ritenour to Christopher Parkening.

This "GH" (George Harrison) guitar from 2006 is an improved and authentic reproduction of the Jose Ramirez studio model used by George Harrison during the recording of the classic Beatles film "A Hard Day’s Night" and featured on the Beatles recordings "Til There Was You" and "And I Love Her". It features all-solid woods, and similar ornaments to those of the original model. Condition is excellent - no damage or repairs, only some aesthetic blemishes including mild playing wear in the finish and some delamination of the finish from some areas of the rosewood, which is purely cosmetic, leaving the guitar completely structurally sound. Setup and playability are easy and the guitar has great tone, making it easily usable for virtually any genre of music. Whether the guitar was designed to commemorate a milestone in Ramirez Guitars’ rich history or whether it was to celebrate an accomplished musician, the Artist and Limited Edition guitars are all handmade with only the most precious cuts of woods. Each guitar is a truly unique instrument, many of them only available for a limited time.
