This Ramirez is very easy to play, with a lovely neck and easy action, despite the way many of the guitars from this period were set up. The tone is thick yet clear, and has that essential warm, mysterious and moody quality that made Ramirez famous. It features beautiful materials - including a gorgeous set of rosewood for the back and sides that has dramatic changes in color from dark red-brown to orange in the sapwood areas. Overall a majestic instrument to the eye. Condition is excellent, with only modest wear in the finish. Stamped on the inside by "AS" (Arturo Sanzano), whose daughter Marisa, still works for Ramirez today (For a complete list of Ramirez luthiers from this era, click here).
