Description

Several years ago, Jose Ramirez re-introduced the classic "2a" model, which had been out of production for over 2 decades. These latest Ramirez "2a" models were designed to follow the classic design originally conceived by Jose Ramirez III, and is identical to the standard "Tradicional" model in all ways, with the exception of using materials that may have minor aesthetic blemishes, such as small knots, or what in Spain are called "cocas" (darker areas of resin concentration in the grain). The tone and workmanship are first-class, and the guitar offers a sound that is on par with the best that the Ramirez workshop has to to offer. We are thrilled that these are on offer to a new generation of guitarists looking for a professional-level concert guitar with the authentic Ramirez sound at a relaxed price. Although this is a second-hand guitar, it is in excellent condition with barely any signs of use.

For more information on Ramirez, be sure to read The Ramirez Family: Masters of the Guitar, or for information on the Ramirez family members, from Amalia Ramirez back to Jose I and for some interesting fact-checking on myths and facts about this legendary workshop.
