Description

This guitar was built in the famous Jose Ramirez workshop, which for over half a century has produced instruments performed on by countless professionals from Sting to Segovia, Chet Atkins to Sabicas and Lee Ritenour to Christopher Parkening.

Ramirez makes very few of these guitars, and we are lucky if we get one or two in a year. Structurally similar to the 1a Tradicional model, this guitar uses precious materials from previous generations. The workmanship is exquisite with great attention to detail and features additional inlay work throughout the purfling, as well as a boxwood inlay in the headstock. Also features custom Rodgers tuners. For the player or collector who is looking for the best of the best. This is a great example from 2003, in excellent shape.

For more information on Ramirez, be sure to read The Ramirez Family: Masters of the Guitar, or for information on the Ramirez family members, from Amalia Ramirez back to Jose I and for some interesting fact-checking on myths and facts about this legendary workshop.
