Description

Over the last several years, Fritz Ober has been building some of the best Torres/Hauser style guitars available. In our opinion, this maker stands in his own right as one of the great young contemporary guitar makers in the world. His workmanship, choice of materials, and quality of sound are not just outstanding but nearly unmatched and attention to detail is astounding. Playability is excellent. The sound is clear, focused and powerful.

This particular instrument features some beautiful aesthetics including the rosette and purfling details. Materials are stunning - it has incredibly gorgeous rosewood for the back/sides and head veneer with dazzling grain patterns infused with generous amounts of sapwood. Tuning machines are top-quality Reischl with black horn buttons. Sound is superb - it has excellent clarity and power for a cedar top, with a very woody, deep natural tone. Sound is quite complex, with a harmonically-rich texture that gives it a very intriguing, mysterious quality. Overall, a top-level concert and recording instrument for the discriminating performer.
