2017 Teodoro Perez "Especial" CD/IM

The "Especial" is the top model from the Perez shop, and offers the absolute best in terms of decoration and materials. The sound is very distinctly Spanish, with a full, romantic tone and quick attack. There is plenty of warmth, clarity and volume for any situation, while retaining exceptional playability. Volume is also exceptional, even by "Madrid school" standards. It also features more elaborate detail work, including additional purfling and inlay. The materials selected for this model are always top-notch, but with this particular instrument, it features a gorgeous and exotic-looking set of quilted Imbuia for the back and sides (inlayed internally with maple) which is simply nothing short of stunning. Neck is American walnut and the head veneer is made of Zebrano. All in this is a stunning concert guitar for both appearance and sound.
