Celebrate the Finale: The American Guitar Society’s Final Series Concert
Mark your calendars for an unforgettable evening of guitar artistry! The American Guitar Society (AGS) proudly presents the final concert of its current season on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 7:30 PM. This highly anticipated event promises an eclectic program, showcasing the versatility and beauty of the guitar in solo, duo, and orchestral settings.
The highlight of the evening will be the much-awaited return of the AGS Guitar Orchestra, a 23-member ensemble conducted by the esteemed José Antonio Perez. Renowned for their dynamic performances, the orchestra will deliver a captivating program featuring works by: Michael Praetorius, Antonio Vivaldi, Leonhard von Call, Frank Camp, and original compositions and arrangements by Robert G. Mayeur
In addition to the orchestra’s performance, the concert will feature outstanding guest artists:
- Brian Barany, performing works by Agustín Barrios and Michael Chapdelaine.
- Duo C-K, presenting selections by Maximo Diego Pujol and Stephen Goss Houghton.
- Steven Thachuk, delivering a diverse program of classical and contemporary pieces, including works by Francisco Tárrega, Federico Moreno Torroba, and even Radiohead.
