Christoph Sembdner Shares Sneak Peek Photos of His New Guitar Built for GSI!
We received some sneak peek photos of our next guitar built by German guitar maker, Christoph Sembdner. The materials used are simply stunning! Christoph chose a gorgeous set of exotic ebony which he used for the back and sides, and a beautiful piece of cedar for the soundboard. The tuners are made by luthier Kris Barnett.
Christoph has been building guitars since 1990 and has been teaching lutherie at the University of Applied Sciences Zwickau in his hometown of Markneukirchen, Germany. His building style is greatly influenced by Torres/Hauser patterns that he learned while attending Romanillos masterclasses. However, this particular guitar is going to be lattice-braced. Check out the photos below and don't hesitate to reach out to us with questions!
UPDATE: The guitar will arrive at GSI very soon. Right before shipping this instrument from Germany, D'Addario artist, Thomas Muller-Pering, recorded a few videos on location in Weimar. Check them out below!
