Coming Soon: Brian Itzkin's New Guitar
We are thrilled to share a sneak peek of Brian Itzkin's latest guitar. This instrument is a smaller-bodied, Torres-inspired model, with shape based on Torres FE-05 and FE-21A, but also drawing an influence from a guitar built in 1870 by Vicente Arias.
The materials used are superb! For the top, Brian used a set of Italian alpine spruce and matched it with African rosewood back, sides, fretboard, bridge, and head veneer. The bindings are made of holly. This particular instrument has a 51 mm nut width and a 635 mm scale.
Recently, our guitar expert Patrick Schettler met with Brian on a video call for a short interview, where they discussed Brian’s background, his approach to guitar making, and the ideas behind his work. You can watch the conversation below.
Check out the sneak peek photos of our newest instrument and don't hesitate to reach out to us with questions!
