Coming Soon: Two New Guitars by Brian Itzkin

New York-based luthier Brian Itzkin is currently building two classical guitars that will be coming soon to GSI, and the early photos are already turning heads.

The first instrument features a Swiss alpine spruce soundboard with back and sides of African rosewood and a rosette inspired by FE-17 executed entirely in natural-colored veneers — 2 types of CSA rosewood, Ceylon satinwood, European maple, ebony, Cuban mahogany, Spanish cedar, and anigre.

The second is a Torres-style guitar with a 635mm scale, spruce top, and CSA rosewood back and sides — the same body shape as the last Itzkin guitar we offered.

Both instruments are expected to be finished by end of June. Stay tuned.
