Sneak Peek: A New Guitar from Luthier Elias Bonet

Spanish luthier Elias Bonet is currently building a new guitar for GSI. This instrument is his traditional model, built with a five-fan bracing system carefully shaped from templates passed down to him by his mentor, Juan A. Reyes.

Elias was also one of the luthiers recently featured in our On Location with D’Addario video series, where his craftsmanship and approach to building were highlighted. As with all of his work, the artistry extends beyond structure into design—the rosette is adorned with intricate geometric patterns inspired by seventh-century Persian carvings, executed with remarkable style and precision.
