Coming Soon to GSI: A New Guitar from Fernando Moreno

A new guitar from Spanish luthier Fernando Moreno is on its way to GSI. Fernando builds in the rich tradition of Spanish guitar making, and his workshop is based in Alcalá de Guadaíra—a picturesque village just outside Seville, in the heart of Andalucía.

Fernando began his journey as an independent luthier in Granada, where Antonio Ariza, impressed by his work at the Valeriano Bernal guitar shop, encouraged him to build a guitar of his own. With guidance from both Ariza and Juan García Fernández, Fernando completed his first instrument. He later joined the workshop of Francisco Manuel Díaz, where—under the mentorship of Francisco’s son, Victor Díaz—he honed his skills in every aspect of construction, from wood selection to French polishing.
