New On-Location Videos Featuring D'Addario Artist Yse Dastugue and Luthier Ivan Bruna

We’re pleased to share a new series of videos on the GSI YouTube channel, produced in collaboration with D’Addario. The performances feature Italian-based French guitarist and D’Addario artist Ysé Dastugue playing a 2025 Ivan Bruna SP/IN guitar, which is now available for purchase at GSI.
The videos were recorded on location at the historic 19th-century Castello Pasquini in Castiglioncello (Comune of Rosignano Marittimo), providing a stunning backdrop to showcase the latest work of Italian luthier Ivan Bruna. This particular instrument features a spruce soundboard and Indian rosewood back and sides.
Ysé Dastugue performs three pieces on this guitar: three movements from Dušan Bogdanović’s Levantine Suite (I. Prelude, Dance, and Postlude), Suite Venezolana: III. Canción by Antonio Lauro, and Fantasia P. 71 by John Dowland. A separate video features Ivan Bruna in an interview, where he shares his thoughts on the guitar and discusses his approach to building instruments.
Special thanks to D’Addario for organizing this session and to Marco Fabricci for recording these videos. All four videos are now available to watch below.
