Elias Bonet's New Classical Guitar: Spruce & Birdseye Maple
Spanish luthier Elias Bonet is currently building a new classical guitar for GSI, and we have a sneak peek to share. This instrument is his traditional model, built with a five-fan bracing system shaped from templates passed down to him by his mentor, Juan A. Reyes. It pairs a spruce top with birdseye maple back and sides, a combination prized for its striking figure.
Elias is one of the luthiers featured in our On Location with D'Addario video series, which offers a closer look at his craftsmanship and approach to building. As with all of his work, the artistry extends beyond structure into design. The rosette is adorned with intricate geometric patterns inspired by seventh-century Persian carvings, executed with remarkable style and precision.
We are proud to be the exclusive U.S. dealer for Elias Bonet guitars. If this guitar sparks your interest, please don't hesitate to get in touch for more details.
