The 7th Edition of the Antonio Marin Montero Guitar Building Competition
The VII edition of the Antonio Marin Montero Guitar Building Competition in Granada, Spain, took place from July 30 to August 1, solidifying its reputation as one of the world’s most prestigious guitar-making events. We extend our gratitude to Vicente Coves and the European Guitar Foundation for their exceptional organization of this year’s competition.
This year, GSI President David Collett served as one of the competition judges for both the classical and flamenco guitar divisions, maintaining his longstanding involvement in the competition.
After carefully evaluating the instruments crafted by luthiers from around the world, the judges awarded six prizes across both categories. This year's winners represent a diverse group of exceptional makers, and we are excited to showcase their work in our store soon.
