1930 Julian Gomez Ramirez Spruce CSA Rosewood

Condition:Excellent
Category:Classical Guitars
Description
This guitar never left the workshop of Julian Gomez Ramirez until after his death. It is thought that was due to an imperfection on the side wood (minor warping of the rosewood), which led him not to want to put his label on it and therefore the guitar bears no label. This imperfection has no impact on the integrity or sound of the guitar. The guitar was bought at an auction of the contents of JG Ramirez' workshop in Paris and authenticated by the renowned luthier and historian Jerome Casanova, from whom I purchased the guitar. There are no cracks to the top and a cleated crack to the back suffered during transportation. The guitar was lightly restored at the workshop of Jerome Casanova. I am attaching as the last picture the original write up of this guitar written by Jerome Casanova who wrote the book The Spanish Guitar 1750-1950.
