Italian luthier, Giancarlo Nannoni, Shares Sneak Peek Photos of His Second GSI Guitar.

Coming Soon

We've received some beautiful, sneak peek photos from Italian guitar maker, Giancarlo Nannoni. This is going to be Giancarlo's second guitar featured in our showroom and it looks fantastic!

One of Giancarlo's main inspirations for building traditional guitars is Hermann Hauser I. He borrows from the Hauser design, but with several small modifications of his own to make what he calls his "contemporary" model. For example, in addition to the 7 Hauser braces, Giancarlo adds 6 very thin braces which pass underneath the main fans to form a light lattice.

For his second GSI guitar, Giancarlo picked beautiful materials. The back and sides are made of very dark and regular, first-choice Indian rosewood, and the soundboard is made of Italian bearclaw spruce. It will also feature a new, elegant rosette with a zig-zag pattern also featured in the purfling. This guitar is also nicknamed "Ambrosia" after a Nymph from Greek mythology. The guitar will be shipped to GSI very soon, so check out the photos below, and don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions.
