Taso Comanescu plays Preludes by Manuel Maria Ponce
New videos of Taso Comanescu are published on our GSI YouTube channel (SUBSCRIBE)! This time, our good friend Taso recorded 4 of the 12 Preludes (Nos. 1, 2, 4 and 6) by Manuel María Ponce (1882-1948). These are incredibly charming, albeit short pieces (around 1-minute long each), but each one presents a broad range of colors and dynamic levels, which makes them perfect miniatures for easy consumption. We recommend you check them out!
“Prelude No. 1 in F# minor”, performed on 2019 Matthew Chaffin SP/ZR
“Prelude No. 2 in A major”, performed on 2019 Daniele Marrabello SP/IN,
“Prelude No. 4 in B major”, performed on 2019 Kenneth Brogger ‘Polycentric Baroque Arch Head’
“Prelude No. 6 in A major”, performed on 2019 Fructuoso Zalapa “Romanillos” SP/KW
In the description of each new GSI video, you can also download a PDF of “Capricho Árabe” by Tárrega, arranged by Agustín Barrios Mangoré. In the past, Taso recorded this piece with us, and feel free to watch that here!
